When Max is sent to his room one night
without dinner because he was causing a ruckus in his wolf suit, his
imagination takes over and transforms his room into an ocean and sends Max to a
place where the wild things are. Will
his time there last, or was it all just a figment of his imagination?
This book would provide a good lesson to compare and contrast a story with the the movie version. I think students would also be interested to read this story and act in out playing different roles (as I have done in a class before). Being such a classic picture book, there are many easy ways to find a method of incorporating it into the classroom.
